The Many Uses For Roll Away Beds
Roll away beds have a frame that will fold up, and wheels that let you roll it easily (hence the name). They are ideal for temporary sleeping quarters when you have guests staying with you, but don't necessarily have a dedicated guest room where they can sleep.
Just roll them out, set them up and they all set. When your guests leave, fold the bed up and put it back into storage until the next time you might need it.
This isn't the only use for roll away beds, however. They have several advantages that make them well-suited for a number of different situations.
The main advantage is their portability and the ability to put them away and free up space when you're not using them. Another place that this can be a big advantage is in a dorm room or small apartment for college or university students who live on campus.
The size of dorms and campus apartments is usually pretty limited, so having a bed that can fold up and be moved out of the way can give a student more space for other things. At night, just roll the bed out, unfold it and they're ready to get a good night's sleep.
Cabins and trailers are another good place to use roll away beds. Again, these places are often tight for space and being able to fold the bed up and get it out of the way can make tight living quarters a lot more manageable.
Roll away beds do come in various sizes as well, such as twin, queen and king. So they can be chosen according to your needs - if two people are sleeping on it, a queen or king size is obviously a lot more effective.
If you have unexpected guests come to town, another option is a rental shop. Roll away beds can be rented for a few days if you really need to make some sleeping quarters, but don't expect to need it again. There's really no sense in buying your own in a case like this.
